My Name Is Behnam And this channel is How To Restoration. My Grandfather Was a Carpenter And My Father Continued to do the same, and since I have lived with tools since I was a child, I have a strong interest in them. I believe that old tools should not be thrown away, it should be refurbished and reused. I believe that anything that is older and has been built before has a solid structure and is very durable and built with principles. All tools today are mass produced with very low quality. My mindset is that I was born in 1990 and I will leave the world once, so I do what makes me feel good. I haven't tested many tools yet and I want to get to them and my art one day. I will create with those tools.

Transforming Old Rusty Tool: A Must-See Restoration !
This is a very rusty pipe that was lying in a corner of the warehouse and I took it to restore it, it was very rusted and the rust had penetrated the iron.
I had a hard time separating the pieces at first.
Then I painted it with a paint remover, and then I polished the parts of the iron that were damaged by working with a file.
It was discolored, it was getting to the fence where it was red, so I sprayed it with a nice red paint.
I needed two pins, which I created from two screws I had in the scraps.
The pipe cutter blade was not in place, I bought a new blade for it and installed it in its place and started assembling.

What we have here is a very versatile tool that can be used as a hammer, ax and nail driver. This multi-purpose tool was for my friend and he had put it in a corner for a long time and did not use it. One day I was gone. When I visited my friend, my eyes fell on this device and I asked him, why did you leave this valuable device in a corner and not use it?
He said: I would like to restore it, but I don't have enough tools and experience to restore it.
I asked him to leave it to me, and knowing that I was a skilled craftsman and capable of restoring it, he gave me the tools and I began to restore it.
Handle:
his handle was bent under a lot of pressure and the sticks of his handle were not clear what happened to him.
I made a new walnut handle for it, straightened out the bent handle, knocked the rust off with a 12v electric.
I blackened the body of the tool except for the ax blade and the hammer with ultra blue alum so that it does not rust at all.
And finally, as you can see in the video, I turned it into a useful and beautiful tool again.

Думаю парень не работу показал,а свою мастерскую.мастерская класс.напильники это просто "понты"все на щетках и наждаке можно отшлифовать.и никогда не видел чтоб молоток так расклинивали.со времень расшвтается,как подтягивать.ну если только в шкаф поставить ,на полку.

The handle is of much higher quality than the blade. it's probably Chinese 3Cr13Mov stainless or an equivalent. It's the sort of blade used on infomercial knives. But, the handle is truly great

I’m conflicted. I can appreciate the work/skill that is involved. Beautiful. But is it a tool or art? If it’s a tool it’s going to get used and the time spent will be a waste. If it’s art, it is just a normal (albeit polished) hammer. Should I buy a 20$ hammer and polish it and call it “art”? 🤷🏻♂️

It's an old roofing hammer, for slate shingles. I still have one from when I used to do high end roofs.

I still have two of them in my toolbox in my shed, the model you restored was the 131, the smaller of the two Yankee models. I was taught never to release the spring loaded tip, as it would damage the mechanism of the screwdriver.
